Born in the upper north of sweden Ronnie, although moving away from there with his family when about 2 years old, has always felt an attraction to the harsh environment and rural lifestyle (some might even consider it “bonnigt” – swedish word which roughly translates into “redneck”) of the north. So, about thirty years after last setting his foot in Västerbotten, he decided to spend the midsummer part of summer in his family village Svanabyn, in a sense looking for his roots and trying to figure out if his attraction to the north of sweden was purely romantic or really a part of him. These photos were taken during that trip.
